It's a brand-spankin' new decade!! :) (or New Year, New York)

First off, happy new year to everyone!
Aaand happy new decade as well! :)

I have been remiss for many weeks in not posting anything at all - credit the schedule I keep and the work that keeps getting the way of my blogging. Boo. For this, I am truly sorry. But I will try my best (and this by no means a resolution for I do not personally believe in making New Year's resolutions - that's for another post) to post as much as I did before my blog-delinquency, if not more. I do miss the blogosphere.

**That's the J.Crew Dani Stadium Cloth Coat from a couple of winters ago. :)
It's oh-so-warm!

Just a few things to write about that happened over the holidays - I went to NYC! As you can see from the photo, I was in the Big Apple. I so enjoyed being there, the energy is so palpable that the moment you enter the city, whether it be via train, plane or automobile (and let's not forget buses!), one cannot help but feel this goosebump-y feeling crawl up your spine and give you tingles all over! Especially over the holidays! That's my dear uncle, visiting from Wales. He really dug New York! ;)

I, unfortunately, was not able to visit the holy grail of J.Crew stores, the Collection store on Madison. Buuuut I was able to score some great deals locally, with the recent 20%-off-sale deal they had in stores.

The Wool Shirred Skirt in Black.
So flattering, I had to buy it twice.
(I also got it in the deep aubergine and heather deep coral.)

The Tuxedo Scout Chino.
(For $24, from its original price of $79.50!)
I can't wait to wear this during the spring or summer with this.
(Ok, ok, sue me, I think I'm the only one who thinks this is a fabulous idea.)

The Kelsey top in deep aubergine.
I love this color. :)
(And I got it for a cool $16.00, from its original $88!!)
