Colorfully inspired. :)

When I'm in a bind and can't figure out what to wear the next day...
oh, who am I kidding?...what to wear in the morning,
I often turn to my all-trusty J.Crew catalogs
and see if I can get inspired with how they mix and match colors and textures.
Here are a few (actually, a number) of my favorites:

I love the warmth of the first photo.
And it's the lack of color in the second photo that speaks volumes.
(These two photos made me buy that scarf, that cardigan, those pants, that buttondown, that necklace and I already had the sneakers. Bwahaha.)

And now for one of my favorite J.Crew models, Vanessa. :)
She's so smiley, I love her!
It adds so much vibrancy to the looks she models.

These two looks are just classy and classic.
(That dress feels divine when worn.)

The way colors are mixed and matched, down to the make-up or lack thereof, is perfect in these photos.

The color that puzzles but fascinates to no end is the color
J.Crew sometimes calls "sweet guava" or "dusty rose" or simply "shell".
When paired with brown (or "dark mushroom" or "heather oatmeal")
or yellow (or "bright sun" or "naples yellow"),
yum, delicious! :9

And these are only some from one of my favorite catalogs (November 2009 - "If...").
That catalog was one of the close-to-perfect catalogs that,
I think, J.Crew has ever come up with.

This is one of the two-page spreads that I like to refer to.
I like how casual but put-together both looks are.

(I still kick myself for not getting the Rafaella dress.)

Who knew bright cobalt blue could be paired with pale pink, copper and gray?
And the second outfit is just so clean.

The way they used pastel colors (that are usually reserved for spring) for fall -
so unexpected and oh-so-dee-li-shus! ;D

Some of my favorite mix & match looks are from the Spring 2007 catalogs,
but I can't seem to find any images from them.
(I've thrown away my catalogs 2007 and earlier...I KNOW!)
I'm sure I missed some more, especially from older catalogs.
