A petal is a petal is a petal...

Being stuck at home has me surfing the internet more than ever...
ok, ok, maybe just as much as if I was at work. *cough*

And I've come across an alternative to J.Crew's Tiered Brique Skirt ($128).
It was most recently reviewed and rocked by Slastena of About All or Nothing At All (here).

If you pop on over to ModCloth, you'll find BB Dakota's Heavy Petal Skirt ($64.99).
Rather than silk chiffon, though, the petals on BB Dakota's skirt is made of polyester
(hence, the less expensive price tag) but is also "dry clean only".

  2. Very similar. I'm so back and forth with this skirt. I love it but I don't know how much I'd wear it to even warrant the lower price version. If it had been longer and I could definitely wear it to work I'd buy it but I think it's weekend wear only.

I honestly like the ModCloth skirt better, I saw the JCrew skirt on Monday during an quick outing to the mall, but I was not loving the petals. Thanks for this info.

  4. Great find! I just found the similar one from Target on the sale rack last week for $8...not a bad deal, IMO. :) Thanks for posting about the one at Modcloth...it looks *spot on*.

  6. Thank you very much for tthe shout out! I do love the ModCloth version, but hate artificial fabrics. That's one hting to appreciate about J Crew and Banana- they limit their use of polyester.
