Waitaminit. Have I magically teleported to Iroquois Falls in Ontario, Canada?

It's still snowing here in our corner of the world.
The DC workforce has still been immobilized
by what has been shaping up to be the snowiest storm of NoVA.

I was talking to my sister and showed her some snapshots I took outside.
"Wow! It looks like our old times in Iroquois Falls*!"

*Iroquois Falls is a town in Ontario, Canada that is the coldest on record in Canada.
The temperatures there can get down to -70 degrees Farenheit,
and it starts snowing in November and doesn't stop until March!
And yes, my sister and her family lived there for 3 years. 3 long years.
I visited twice and was frozen stiff both times. :p

I'd like to share some pictures taken over the time we've been locked indoors.

The view from my bedroom window ledge.

And my two boys all snuggled up on a blanket on the couch.

  1. Just love the sofa boys!! Lucy is curled up at my feet, trying as hard as she can to snuggle into my fuzzy blanket.
