Snow, snow everywhere!

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as inconvenienced by the snow as much as the next person, but there's something about these snowstorms that we're having that have lent such a serene, pretty blanket over the area that I've kinda learned to like.

I've never been one to rush to the grocery store at the first mention of a snowstorm (or even rush at the last minute) - whatever's at home will do me and my boys well over the time that we're inside. :)

When I stepped out yesterday morning, though, I knew I had to take a few pictures to capture such a beautiful morning. The scene was straight of a winter wonderland picture book. It really was breathtaking. Here are a few that I took:

And my favorite:

I hope that wherever you are and whatever weather you're experiencing, you all have a safe, peaceful and enjoyable day! :)

  2. I did hit the grocery store first thing this morning...but more for the kiddies than me. Plus it's hubby's bday on Saturday, so we needed a few things for family party.

Oh, how I love the snow. But I realize that if I had to commute in it on a regular basis, I probably wouldn't like it so much.

thanks for sharing the gorgeous pics!!

  3. I'm with you - I really love how beautiful it is everywhere with the snow covering everything - I was actually bummed this last snow melted away so fast. I just wish there was a way to have beautiful snow and still be able to get places.

Last night I hit the grocery store and bought stuff to make breakfast and tacos! HAHA. If I'm getting snowed in I want some tacos for some reason. Last weekend I made the BF walk to the grocery store in the snow so we could make them - I'm nuts!

  5. @Ashley: Maybe I'm just lazy? I WAS the girl who didn't have a shovel for last snowstorm. :p I just bought one this Monday! Hahaha!

@HeidiG: What a day to have a birthday! But if he's a snow person, what a day to have a birthday! :D As long as they don't rush us to go to work in the snow, I'm fine with it. But if I had to go home in the snow, I'd probably be more antsy. :p

@Summerilla: I agree with you - beautiful snow + way to get around = utopia! ;D And I'm with you about the necessities! I have to have cake mix and corned beef! How's that for strange? Oh, did you know that you can make a low-cal version of the dry-cake mix using diet soda?? It's pretty good!

Thanks for dropping by, ladies! :D Stay happy!
